1968 T500 Cobra rebuild with slight modifications.
Frame sandblasted and painted with black
enamel and gloss clearcoat.

Tank added

Boge shocks with different springs, swingarm
and triple trees with tapered bearings added.
Steering damper added as well.
I tried the GT750 bars but went with European
bars instead. The tubes are GS550 till I
get the 72 GT750 ones done.

Close-up of the bronze bushings.
Closeup of steering damper installation

Rear fender and sandblasted and painted battery
box.

European bars and gauges installed. I had
to use a later bracket at with the GT500
triple clamps the old style could not
be used.

Sand blasted and painted cases.

Suzuki oil dam added to increase oil capacity.
Resealed crank and transmission installed.

Fresh bottom end installed. Also complete
GT750 headlight ears and bucket added. Front
fender is from late 73 early 74 GT750 and
closely resembles the Cobra unit.
Due to the narrow GT500 triple clamps the
brake backing hubs had to be narrowed to
fit the front brake properly. Also the gauge
bracket had to be flipped and
mounted from the top instead of the bottom
to clear the headlight shell.

Keith Sutton's 72 GT750. Powder coated frame
with bracing done and also bracing on the
swingarm.
Bronze bushings installed in the swingarm and tapered steering bearings
and painted trees.

Gauge bracket and trees painted.
